Hairdressers car with a roofc_w wrote:Have to say the current Z4 is a awesome looking car, it looks a more expensive/upmarket car than the outgoing z4 (and the z3 it replaced). Has amazing presence on the road.
The older z3 arguably looks more aggressive at the rear but the facelift looks good too. But the only Z3 to have is the Z3M Coupe

Well, l just paid £6,000 for my 54,000 mile Topaz Blue Z3 3.0.
I looked at a few of the cheaper ones, and they were not terribly good tbh. Either that or high mileage, l wanted under about 80,000 miles.
Mine did come with a hardtop, which l could sell on.

Hardtop totally changes the car.... obviously the softtop is the attraction on a sunny day but in winter, with a hardtop it looks even better IMHOlightning wrote: Mine did come with a hardtop, which l could sell on.
Re: Interesting eBay ad
I prefer prefacelift wide body car to facelift cars. Facelift cars only has nicer rear lights, everything else is not very important or can be retrofitted IMHO.
Re: Interesting eBay ad
Hardtop makes for a year round car to be fair. Don't forget the immortal question..... Does my a...e look big in this?

Private sale.
The car is a very nice one though, with no issues and only minor work to do, such as replace the broken air ducts at the rear of the sills, and replace the faulty CD player.
The bumper does not really need respraying but l am a bit of a perfectionist and for £250 l think it is worth it.
I looked at several 2.8's in the £3-4,000 bracket and they were alright, but well used.
Two of them showed signs of diff mount fracture.
I looked at two other 3.0 roadsters and one was rough at £4,000 the other was £6000 and very nice except the whole interior was beige....which l could not have lived with.
