That time of year again, insurance up for renewal!
That time of year again, insurance up for renewal!
Being a 27 year old male living in central Manchester is not very good for the wallet when it comes to car insurance.
Even with driving for 10 years, never getting a point or having an accident, 7 years no claims it was expensive
My 3.0 cost me around £1550 best price to insure fully comp last year with no extras so I was dreading renewal this year.
But, because of the new EU law around insurers not being able to discriminate based on sex I can now get quotes from a bunch of new insurers so this year I've gone with Sheila's Wheels
£740 this year including protected no claims and a couple of other extras so an £800 saving!

Thats amazing how much the price can vary depending where you live. I have just my renewal quote through but decided to move to Adrian Flux, Im 25 been driving for the full 7 years with no accidents. Adrian Flux have given me a £386 all in on a classic car policy with 15,000 miles a year to play with. Oh and mine is the 2.8 and live on the south coast ish.

While mine is having its engine rebuilt I forgot about doing something about my renewal ended up paying just under £380, shame I could not have left it until Aug 1st as it would have only been £309 from Admiral but had to laugh at one quote.

My insurance went up this year too by a whole £3!
Now the princely sum of £184 with a £200 xs.
The secret of cheap insurance is to be a miserable old git in Norfolk, drive a Volvo when not in the Z, and use Admiral Multicar for these two and the wife's Fiesta shopping trolley.
