Take a look at this link for a breakdown of the different engines available for Z3s: http://users.belgacom.net/bmw_z3/bmw_z3_engines.htm

Ignore the 2.5 as that wasn't available in the UK.

A 1890cc (actually 1895cc) would be the 1.9 4 pot, which judging by your previous posts is the same as the one you currently own!

The 2.0 was 1990cc if memory serves and that is the smallest six in a Z3.

Wet boot will almost definitely be caused by the third brake light, the seal around it perishes and lets water in. If you search the forum you'll find a couple of threads about it, new gasket is only a few quid.

Hello XVar sorry I did not reply sooner replaced third brake light seals but this did not help I discovered the hood had been replaced by a vehicle trimmer in kings lynn & is leaking where the roof meets the bodywork the car ended up like a little swimming pool now the alarm warning. light won't go off do you know where its gubbins are I also had to replace the ignition switch &steering lock £480 aaagh thats the BAY for you!!! Thanks SEROW
