Anybody recognise these..? + Fitting instructions for roll h

Post by David »

These arrived from the breakers, with my roll hoops, and I'm just prepping to make sure I have all the bits I need. But I can't seem to find out whether these bolt things are surplus to my requirements.

I'm also looking for some detailed fitting instructions for the roll hoops, the z3m.net ones I have found are a pain to navigate.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I will owe them at least 3 high fives!

The screw pins are for attaching the tonneau cover. If you fit rollhoops and the OEM mesh wind deflector that goes over them, then you fit longer pins with a plastic collar and the back piece of the wind deflector hooks over them. You don't need to fit them to fit rollhoops and the shorter ones should already be some on your car.

As to the instructions, have you looked in the knowledgebase on here? http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopi ... =18&t=3439

I have a hardcopy of the installation instructions somewhere that my local dealer printed off for me, but there is another online version here: http://www.waycoolinc.com/z3/essentials ... stall.html

Thanks Robert, just spotted them this minute.

I have looked, but couldn't find anything. I'm sure I've seen something there before though...
Any help with a link please?

Um, I did put a link to the KB article in my above post, but I have noticed that Tapasilence seems to be mangling some links. Here it is again with URL tags around it.

Oh Tapatalk... Making forums so easy and difficult to use at the same time!

Thanks for the link, but the z3m photographed instructions ended up being the easiest to follow. Half way done!

Similar to the fixings in the pic
I needed a few fixing for attaching the tonneau cover to the back, adjacent to roll hoops
The dealers Wanted £35+, the item were not sold separate :head:
I was attending the Zedfest at Silverstone, there was a stall there displaying their wares Softtops etc with fixing/fittings,
they had these clips in various bins '50p for a pair , I should have bought loads and distributed them on here
Don't go to The dealers for such items
Maybe we should call them Dick Turpins
