On board computer/Boot trim

Post by Davejue1 »

Hi, I have an on board computer on my Zed but it doesn't appear to be working. I press the button on the end of the stalk and nothing happens. Any advice would be most welcome. Also is it possible to change the trim in the boot so I can loose the multi CD housing, This takes up a lot of room in a very small boot and we are going over to France for two weeks next June and the extra boot space would be very welcome. :?:
Thanks
Dave

When I got my Z (2.8, 1998) the on board computer simply showed "PPP" and nothing else. I tried all the little tricks you'll find on here but nothing would change it. I bought one from an on line breakers plugged it in and it now works perfectly. Expect to pay about £50.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I can't remember what it shows but it's not PPP. My car isn't here at the minute so can't check to see whats on the screen. I'll check when I get it back. A friend of my is good friends with the owners of a bmw breakers in Sheffield so may be able to slice a bit off your suggested price.
Thanks
Dave
