I'm getting a huge amount of condensation in the boot of my 1998 Z3 - is this usual? There seems to be no insulation on the boot lid.
The car is stored outside, and there looks to be some water stains on the carpet in the boot, but I'm not sure if this is a leak or the condensation itself causing the problem.
Does anyone have similar problems?
TIA

Re: Condensation
Search the forum for "third brakelight", you'll find a few threads on how to fix it. Basically it's prone to leaking and will be the cause of your wet boot.

Re: Condensation
Which carpet? If it is the upper one at the rear, also check the softtop box for signs of damp.
Have a look in both wells in the boot - there is one for the battery and one behind and below the left-hand side boot trim. They are likely to be full of water and the battery and alarm tilt switch don't like swimming.
