Hi all

I am new to the site and would like to join you all for the visit to Newark air museum if possible. Would be great to meet up with Z people and get to know you all. You all seem a friendly lot and more than willing to pass on your expertise with all Z things..a bonus for a newbie like me.

I have a Z3 2.o in grey and am coming down A15 from Hull.

Can I meet up at the lorry park

hope this is ok
Hoping for a fine day

Well what a superb day! More Zeds than Planes! great to see some old and new folks, thanks to Pete and Dave for setting the day up. My apologies for making everyones lovely clean cars stand in a shi**y lorry park, I wasn't aware it was as dusty and busy as that when I suggested meeting there. :head:

Well that turned out a fantastic day and what a good turnout, we travelled up from Newport South Wales for this stayed in Grantham overnight and same again post visit heading back Sunday. We'll worth the trip and a pleasure to put names to faces, apologies if I never introduced myself and wife to everyone.
We were in the blue 1.8 got loads of pictures, much the same as those already posted so I won't post to avoid duplicating them.
Many thanks for organising the day.

Cheers Tony. Noticed how shiny yours was looking! As for the picture lol!!!!
It was really good of the air museum to allow us to firstly have pics under the Vulcan but secondly to ask if we wanted to make a display of the cars.
With that in mind shall we try and make it an annual event??
Answers on a postcard please.... :)

Definitely a yes from me mate, and not just because it is very local to me ( clocked 15 miles ) but it also supports a local attraction for visitors. We have to start bending Pete and Dave's ears then. A big thank you to those two guys for organising this,my, first meet. Cheers guys.

Just wanted to add my thanks to Pete and Dave as well. Didn't see you before we left to say bye, so apologies for rudely exiting. Nice to speak to a few of you and maybe I will manage to say hello to a few more next time. Very impressed with the standard of everyone's zeds and glad I had quickly cleaned the flies off of the front of mine last night. My pics look very similar (just with a different zed in them!), so won't clutter up the thread with them. If my better half has any that are a bit different, then I will post them up.

May be the next challenge should be for a picture under a Lancaster!

I agree with all the above and I will add my thanks to Pete & Dave for organising a superb event. It was great to meet old friends and make some new ones. I haven't looked at my photos yet but I'm sure they will be very similar to everyone else but with my Zed in them. I clocked 155 miles but I am certainly up for it again. Cheers all, Dave

Firstly thanks to Pete and Dave for all the arrangements - the photos under the Vulcan were the icing on the cake.

Nice to meet up with old friends and make some new ones. As I was leaving I said thanks to the lady who opened the gate and said what a great day it had been and she replied "thanks for coming and hopefully we'll see you all again" - so I don't think that there will any problems making it an annual event.

Ah I didn't mind the car park it was worth the look of some of those farmers faces as more and more zeds turned up. It's was nice to meet of like minded owners and see a lot of well maintained zeds I felt quite embarrassed about my wheels, I'll try to get my wheels sorted for the next one :) Also nice to see some of Southernboys items fitted, the arm rest is a real quality item and seat belt fixers/preventers.

Avero Lancaster how about a group taxi ride in one http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk

Big thanks to Pete and Dave for organising and making my first Z3 meet such a memorable one. Nice to meet you all and thanks for making me and father in law feel so welcome. Great cars, great people and great planes.
Yes please count me in for annual event.
Is it just me or was the Vulcans cockpit just slightly bigger than the Z

look forward to meeting you all again

Thanks Pete & Dave for a really amazing day. How fitting to pose in the shadow of such an awesome machine in an equally awe inspiring motor!!! 8-) Great first cruise attempt and definitely worth repeating each year!! :)

Was good to catch up with old friends and put forum names to new faces, the Zeds were all a credit to their owners and a joy to see!! :P

Pictures tomorrow, although not sure we have any arty ones like Jamezee's.

When Pete suggested it in the pub one wet and dark evening we just thought we may get one or other Zeds along. How wrong we were! What a fantastic turn out and some great pictures!
