Key Fob Replacement Batteries

Post by Beaker »

Hey,

My key fob died, batteries have no info written on them. Anyone know what batteries are required?
There are two in the key fob and it's the old separate one, not on the key it's self.

Any info appreciated :-)

Hi mate, if it's the house brick type I've just replaced mine with Duracell MN21, A23/K23A. Just search that on eBay, there's loads, think I paid less than £3. :)

Cheers

Ooh now your asking! I wouldn't know without splitting it open. It is the cylindrical one your changing? :)

I was going to just change both, i've had the car 6 years, it's a 1997 so i suspect neither have ever been changed.

Best just to do both at once. The little coin one has nothing written on it at all, pain in the ar$e lol

I have the early “house brick” fob and it only takes one battery, the spare one I have here for it is a Energizer A23 BP-1 12v

I've just split mine open and it also only has the cylindrical battery, no coin type there so I may have told you incorrectly, or maybe not! Sorry! :head:

I too have just opened my spare fob, that has a Duracell MN 21 12v in it , but is the same as the Energizer one I have as a spare, no flat coin type battery in there
