Continental Sport Contact 5
Continental Sport Contact 5
All,
Getting very close to tyre time......have read many, many posts on this, with pretty much all and sundry pointing toward Falken Priex 914's.....
But....does anyone out there have any tramlining off the Sport Contact 5's?
I have just rebuilt all my suspension with new parts, include the lolly pop bushes with the voids......if my car tramlines after this, I will simply swap those out for the M style solid ones....but am hoping the tyres and new bushes/ball joints and new ARB bushes do solve the issue....
Grateful for any comments -

Falken ZE 914`s on all round now plus powerflex purple bushes and tramlining has virtually gone. Over a 1000 miles on the new tyres now and they have excellent grip, no sign off letting go however fast you go into a corner. They are as good if not better than the 912`s they replaced. For the money you can`t go wrong.

I will not use Continental ContiSport tires again. They wear off very quickly and I had to replace one just after 6 months (got empty tire, could be bad road, but who knows, had to order another). Before I used BF Goodrich rears and Dunlop fronts, but now I have Pirelli P-Zero all around. No complaints after one season.

What is an 'Empty' tyre? If you had a blow out, use English please!
A Z3 is not just for Christmas - it's for life!
Re: Continental Sport Contact 5
I think "empty" is Latvian for "blow out"
Re: Continental Sport Contact 5
Empty means whos round is it?
In love with driving again (its the Z effect)
Re: Continental Sport Contact 5
I have Contact sport 5s on the front of my M.
Contact 3s on the rear
No tramlining and a great tyre. Yes there a soft compound but that's what you need on a rear drive Z3

Es domāju, ka deni2s Angļu valoda ir iespējams, daudz labāk. Un turklāt gadījuma maz tulkošanas žagas bieži vien smieklīgs.

A real pity the Eagle F1's are history...they were superb tyres.... and that is something I'll be looking for in a month or two...
Re: Continental Sport Contact 5
Ok, 4 x Continental Sport Contact 5 for £509 from Black Circles inc of balance, fitting and disposal.
Car drives mint, very happy with them - A Rating for wet stopping, C for fuel and I think 71db on noise. Did the nitrogen fill too for a fiver and all seems great.
This is on top of some other refurb I did, so the tyres play a part of overall fix -
