I used Renovate (Bought off e bay), removed the milkiness but not fully the lines, was going to have another try but 2 rips appeared so new one to be fitted
In love with driving again (its the Z effect)

Greygate polish... If I recall, someone said it's what the airforce use to buff up the plexiglass canopy on the planes... Brass polish also works very well...

Re: Rear Screen
I've used Brasso on a couple of plastic windows but have been told that tis can cause the plastic to go brittle. Having said that I did it on one of my cars about 5 years ago and it's still fine and still nice and clear, it was quite bad so used a lot of brasso and a lot of polishing.

Re: Rear Screen
brasso seems to be a fairy common solution. I would have thought if it made the plastic go brittle (compared to the number of people who have used it) it would be quite infamous.
Re: Rear Screen
Greygate smells just like brasso and doesn`t get rid of scratches but does make the plastic a lot clearer in my experience.

There is a proper BMW cream, but I've found toothpaste to be quite good as well.

Re: Rear Screen
toothpaste is a great idea, its very slightly abrasive which is what you need. also a very fine rubbing compound would work. though toothpaste wont have any nasty chemicals which may effect the plastic, good call

The original rear window from new was a green tint
Re: Rear Screen
Greygate plastic polish is a fantastic product. It will get rid of scratches BUT you can't do it on your own. You will need someone on the other side of the screen with a piece of wood or similar well wrapped in a towel or like to keep the window flat whilst you polish the other side!! Simples.
