Roof repair??

Post by Davejue1 »

Hi all, my roof appears to be coming away from the top left corner of the rear window and slowly creeping down the side as well. Is there a nice easy fix to this or am I seeing £'ssss! I was looking at gluing it back in but would rather check its the right thing to do be proceeding. :)

Thanks in advance
Cheers
Dave

The edge of the fabric tends to come away from the rubber seal and just needs tucking back in. New windows come with a thin strip of double sided tape and you can cut a thin strip from a roll and use. :)

Rubber cement (think bicycle puncture repair kit) works well for this.

Changed the hood of my vw golf last month and prof use UHU Greenit kraftkleber 125*
See if you can find that, its very very strong.
Now i use it to repair the hood of the Z1
Good luck
