Tyres Again
Re: Tyres Again
They just finished a huge post on tires in the forum. Have a look as the answer might be in there. Good luck.
Re: Tyres Again
What happened to my post?
Re: Tyres Again
The F1 Asymmetric is a MUCH better tyre than the older F1 GSD3 which I assume you have? They're actually Asymmetric 2 now, though you can get Asy 1 still.
Re: Tyres Again
Still undecided
Has anybody run Goodyear F1 asymmetric on a 2.8 roadster??

Re: Tyres Again
On my ///M. Asym 1 were like sh!t to a blanket. Asym 2 are not as Asymmetric (look more like a regular tyre), but still ultra grippy. maybe even better in the wet.

Re: Tyres Again
The M is a different set up completely.
Has anybody run a 2,8 r0adster on 17 inch Goodyear assymetrics?
Why do I have to keep reposting this? is it being moderated off if so why?

Just a polite reminder - this topic is NOT being moderated. If you mean that your post falls off the recent topics list, then that is perfectly normal as it only shows the last 50 or so posts. It will come to the top again when someone replies. Your post is always visible if you browse the Z3 roadster section where it has been posted. R.

Re: Tyres Again
Tom, Search for this in the performance forum.... "Tyres - A post to accumulate members' experience".
I run Michelin pilot sport on my zed at the mo with the wider rears, but am looking to change to Falken 453 or 914's, or may go with Dunlop sport maxx RT which I run on my other car (not BMW) and have been impressed by them.

Re: Tyres Again
I have had the car from new the original tyres were Michelin and the handling was unpredictable and Tramlining was bad. A Strut brace didn't do a lot but changing the tyres to Goodyear F1's produced a drivable car.
Unfortunately the old F1's are no ,longer available .I am n ot looking for cheap tyres but do not want to spend a chunk of money on Tyres that will result in poor handling.
I would like to stay with Goodyear and am looking for somebody with experience of the new assymetics on a Z3 17" Wheels
Thanks in anticipation
