Should my 2002 Z3 3.0 have a plastic undertray at all?

I see that some versions are fitted with one, but there's nothing on mine. I imagine the only place one would fit, is under the gearbox? If so, I am missing mine and need to get one.

I hope it's not as expensive as the one on my Ferrari.....£1,000 for a shaped piece of tin. I had mine repaired and resprayed when I found that out!

Not all zeds get the trays, my 1.9 had a full set but my 3.0 does not! The only trays I have on my 3.0 is the front one just behind the front bumper.

Hi.
When I got my 3.0i there was no trays fitted. However on OEM it shows a small tray immediately behind the bumper as being for this car. I found that the tray from a 2.2 is much larger and covers the steering rack and will fit a 3.0 with a little plastic trimming, and it looks quite snug under there now.
Cheers

My 2.0l had a cracked one and I bought a second hand replacement from Andy (spursfan). And yes, the different engine sizes have different size pans. Not sure is they are all different from each other or whether or not there are compatible ones across the range.

My 1999 2,8 only has the small tray behind the bumper.

I would imagine that the bigger engines require more cooling and a bigger tray may restrict the airflow through the radiator. Possibly not too much of a problem in the UK but if you were heading to a warmer area it may be a concern.
