I have quite rusty "bottom bits" on the zed and want to get them replaced ideally.
What is this bit called and how much are we looking at to get them replaced?
thanks
Rusted bottom bit of car (under doors)
Re: Rusted bottom bit of car (under doors)
Hi mark, they are called sills & I heard they are £150 each plus vat plus fitting plus painting!
Mrs smartbears ones were not as bad as yours & were just starting to bubble, a local body shop treated the rust and re-painted them front and back/both sides along with re painting a section of front bumper for £300.
Regards

OEM describe this as a side panel, we would call it a sill panel.

They bolt on.

You can buy these new or maybe get yourself a second hand set, a member on here, Spurs fan in a coupe regularly breaks zeds, send him a PM he may just have a set?
The process to get them off is a little involved but the are essentially bolted on, good luck

Not that it helps you much, I've just sold a pair of Atlanta Blue sills.
They are very hard to find in saleable 2nd hand condition.
I do however have almost all other body panels from the 1.9 that you might be interested in.
