The last time...

Gave Gloria a clean today and then went for a little drive and I couldn't help by wonder whether that would be the last 'roof down' drive this year...

Just coming to the best time of year for the roof down as it's usually too hot in the summer months.
25-30 degrees at the minute supposedly going up to 33 later in the week.

Had 3 hours to kill Saturday, dropped wife off in the centre of Sheffield so what to do?
Top down, off i went first making my way to Hathersage, Castleton then the obligatory Winnats pass to Glossop made my way over to Woodhead then up a road marked "light vehicles only" towards Holmefirth, Passed a very large transmitter winding roads with spectacular views met up with a very nice rumbling Triumph Stag for a few miles before heading off towards the Stocksbridge Bypass to pick up the Strinds, calling off for a bite to eat at the Strinds Inn. Running out of time made my way back to Sheffield to pick up the good lady. May be the last top down trip out this year but it was a goodun. :D

That was Bri's idea Paul but I'm more than happy to take the credit! But having said that I'm sure we can get our heads together and come up with something for next season if there's any interest in a steady day out. :)

Z3 going in for a bit of cosmetic work while we are away next week.
Had a run from Mid Wales to Barmouth for a meeting, last week, decided to come back home via the coast road to Aberystwyth, roof down all the way :) . Came back over the mountain road from Cwmystwyth, to Elan valley. Looking forward to some good winter drives with the roof down.
Living in the Elan valley I have some of the best roads in Wales on my door step, will be making the most of them during the winter months, free from tourist, so not many caravans/ camper vans to avoid.
