spare wheel

As I got my z3 as a cat3 there were a few things missing as I'm finding out one of them is the spare wheel is missing I have 2 question's 1st isthe spare the same as fitted to the other 4 wheels , 2 how far does the carrier hang below the back, it onlyvas 1key I gather there are 4 any idea as to cost for the others?

Hi Pete, the spare is a space saver skinny wheel-it hangs down a little lower than the rear bumper

The spare wheel also fits in a carrier which has probably been removed as well. They are available on ebay or 'Spurs fan' may have some for sale. Most of the spare wheels available are 15 years old so the tyres are pretty borderline and there is nowhere to fit the full size wheel when you take it off.

Keys from BMW are notoriously expensive and I think are the only place to get one.
What year is your Z3 as the keys and alarm changed '99/2000

Hi my z3 is 2001 I have the alarm key so I can lock her up but swmbo wants a key for her self,the tyre's fitted are in good condition lots of tread left. So I will just carry my AA card

As I understand it, the AA won't come out to a car that is supposed to have a spare but doesn't.
