Z3 Water in drivers footwell

Having some heated seats fitted yesterday, so all the seats and parts of the dash out, and theres about a 2cm depth of water under the drivers seat, under the carpets and foam! Not been there long by the looks of things as it's clean and fresh, and no obvious way in for it (without taking everything out) Theres no corrosion or rot in the body, so I'm looking to take the seats out again and have a proper look, but anyone had any simlar problems. We've had so much rain I'm wondering if it may be getting in at the back of the softop and working it's way in somehow from there
