How much space do I need
How much space do I need
I'm going to clear the garage out so that zebedee can be warm n dry over the winter
I'm just conscious that my garage is narrow and once in won't be able to open the door to exit the car
I have had a Saab 900 turbo in,that just fitted, but the doors were much smaller
Any help on would be good

If you got the Saab in, you should be OK. Seven feet wide is quite enough to open one door. It is much easier to get out if you open the window.

Re: How much space do I need
.suggest you get some foam rubber and stick it to the walls so the doors don't get edged....
Re: How much space do I need
My Z3 fits easily in a standard width garage and I have fixed a bit of spare carpet on the wall were the door opens - works well
Re: How much space do I need
Attach a stout wooden bar with ropes to the joists/rafters, drop the soft top and swing out.

Re: How much space do I need
Leave the roof down and climb out. Job done.
Re: How much space do I need
ours is in our single garage and we have ladders pushbike and folded garden chairs hanging of one wall
Re: How much space do I need
I have a very small garage....
Ive stapled a big chunk of foam in a pillow case to a piece of mdf thats screwed to the wall.
Ive also bolted a 4"x4" bit of timber to the floor which allows me to nudge up to it with the drivers tyre.
I really do have to squeeze in and out....saying that, I am a big lad!
You might get away with less.

Designed or not designed, that is the question.

I don't have a manual to hand, but according to Wikipedia the width of a facelift car is 68.5 in (1,740 mm)
Re: How much space do I need
squeeze you got loads of room (looks like our garage full to the gunwales ) winding the window down makes it easier. iv left our windows open as well to let some air through to ward of dampsirius-c wrote:I have a very small garage....
