SIMOTA CAI SYSTEM

Post by Southernboy »

For those of you looking to buy a Simota CAI intake filter, the correct Simota model number for the 6cyl Z3's is CF610-25. Best price I could find online is £279 new.... A group buy would probably reduce that price to around £215.

Yep...same component number for the main filter. The M has a small filter too though for which you will need to specify your requirement as a Z3 M.

According to Simota website you are not totally right:
CF610-25 BMW Z3 M COUPE (S52) 98'-02'
CF610-31 BMW Z3 2.8 98'-02'

http://www.simota.com/productsinfo.php?ID=368

CF610-31 could be found here http://www.ppcgb.com/products/simota-ca ... t-cf610-31 for just £226.
CF610-25 http://www.ppcgb.com/products/simota-ca ... t-cf610-25 £226

The S52 is not an ///M (well it's badged as one in he usa market)

The S54 won't take a Simota as the MAF is integrated into the OEM intake unit, you would need an alpha remap.

Also the S50 needs a different part ideally for a snug fit (Renault Clio) and different hose fittings so the none ///M although can be claimed to fit it's not a good fit and will draw in warm engine air so defeats the point IMHO

I can't remember what I paid evolve on my S50 but I had them remap and raise the redline at the same time
