lovers or haters?

Post by Boosh » Fri 20 Mar, 2015 18:12

Hi all,
I recently needed a new hood badge, and two turned up, so I thought of what to do with the extra one. A friend of mine quickly made an aluminium mounting plate, and hey, presto!

It's only double-sided taped on, though the plate has a recess in it to hide the tape, so can be taken off with no marks.
Think I quite like it. What do you guys think?

Looks very smart. Does the badge come off to allow for example coins to be put inside

That's a good idea! I didn't think of gutting it out, but I think things might rattle a bit...
To be completely honest, it's a bit thicker than I thought it'd be. Could have been thinner if I'd trimmed the two prongs on the badge. Still pleased with the outcome, though.

Couild probably cause a distracting reflection?

So far, the only once I noticed a reflection was behind the rearview mirror, so not an problem at all. I drive Pot Pot everyday, and can't say there's been an issue. So far, I'm quite pleased with it.
