URGENT HELP REQUIRED :-(

Post by TWO »

Hi

BMW Z3 2.2, 2002

I am just checking the Zed over ready for an MOT tomorrow and have found the following : -

Front and rear side light bulbs (nearside) + Boot light bulb do not come on..............I have changed the bulbs over from the 'good to bad' side and the 'good' bulbs do not work :( The original bulbs appear to be fine in appearance.

Main headlights and indicators work fine

Thinking it was probably a fuse; I have checked the fuse that I believe is linked............but this includes the rear number plate illumination................but this works OK

Please could someone confirm the fuse/fuses to be checked or any other suggestions

I'm completely mystified :head:

Can anyone offer any suggestions............Many thanks

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Check the wiring loom inside the boot that flexes when you open and close the boot, its a known reason why the boot brake light fails. Mel.

All resolved now..............fuse no. 33 replaced............must have blown when I re-connected the Boot Light Bulb.

Thanks to gookah & frog farmer
