With the usual options - air con, 17 inch wheels, wind blocker, passenger airbag, and radio, the OTR price of my October 1998 twin-VANOS car was just over £32,000.

At least the standard equipement on a 2.8 was a lot better than a Porche Boxster of the period, where leater trim, centre console, 17 inch wheels, traction control, trip computer etc were all extras - and at higher prices too! For an equivalent level of fit - leather trim, air con and metallic paint the Boxster cost £10,000 more than the Z3! It also lacked anywhere near the get up and go of the 2.8.

Can anybody tell me what options were available for the 2002 3.0. Mine's the M Sport so it has the leather heated sports seats as standard.
But l have aircon, heated mirrors, DSC, chrome line exterior and interior, headlamp washers, tinted glass and rear speakers. Were these all options on this model?

Yes, mine also has roll over bars and velour mats - I thought these were standard, along with interior chrome etc.

On the subject of options, I have seen an absolutely standard 1.9, with 15 inch steel wheels, blanked off foglamp holes, and cloth seats. Apparently the salesman tried hard to sell options, but to no avail!
