Has anyone done this themselves?
Are there any third party replacement products?
Anything to help me not go to the Stealer £116 + two hours fitting

Re: Rear Window Replacement
There's also quite a nice illustrated guide at:

It doesn't look TOO stressful....
I managed to put a big split in my rear window a few weeks ago. I was putting a bag of shopping containing a 4-pint plastic milk bottle (fairly gently) onto the rear shelf when I heard an odd noise..
I took a look & sure enough, there was a lovely two inch crack in the window, right in the middle. It was very cold, I suppose the plastic had just got very brittle & it didn't take much to crack it..
I've coughed up the ?116 to my local dealer and have a new rear window sat in the cellar, just waiting for a nice dry warm day before I attempt the changeover. I can't wait to get rid of the sight of a sellotaped crack from the view in my rear view mirror.....
