I cant get in ... help !

Anyone suggest a way to geti into my car. I shut the door earlier, possibly the seatbelt hadnt retracted properly - I see it sticking out of the bottom
the lock goes up and down but the handle wont open it.
Worse still the passenger door doesnt unlock (been like that since I got it and not gotten around to fixing it).
Id sooner not break the window but currently I see no other way of getting in

tried giving it a sharp pull, if you can get the door open a few mm try putting some thing in the gap to pry it open

Yeah tried that. tried using a pry bar to pull it open while someone lifted the handle up but it doesnt budge.
Whilst I see the wee silver deely going up n down - with either the remote or key in the lock I dont know if its actually operating the mechanism IYSWIM

Try pushing the door hard and lift the handle. If the belt is trapped its going to be pushing the door outwards against the lock. You need to counter that force.

Id agree with deano, had to do a similar thing on a friends boot when a bag strap got stuck in the lock area. Just be careful not to dent the door by pushing too hard.

This however has made me increase the importance of fixing the other side !! I did actually get the door card off when I got the car a few months back but I could neither see the lock actuator nor get my hand in there and abandoned the attempt. Im guessing Ill need to take the glass out to replace the actuator

You don't have to take tha glass out - you need to put it all the way up and undo the window track so you can move it out of the way to gain access.
