I know that there are 6 clips at the rear of the grill do these clips pull out or twist to remove them, or do they not come away from the grill itself?
Any assistance would be appreciated, I'm having the bonnet sprayed so thought I'd remove the grills to help the painter.

Re: Front Grill Removal
They can be a bit of a sod!
Each kidney grille is best left complete i.e. chrome and black slats still as one unit, then I found the heal of my hand and generous "slaps" from behind will dislodge. Once you've done one side you'll get the knack for the other.
Good luck!

Re: Front Grill Removal
Thanks for the information, I didn't like the idea of hitting it with my hand which normally ends in injury!
So I decided to get a short length of 2x1 piece of wood, and place the wood on the grill on the bottom corner, and then tap the wood with a hammer. First tap tap tap, then a bit harder, then a bit more and then it just popped out.
Although the second one seemed to take more of a hit, but it still came out with no damage to me or the car

They are certainly clamped to the bonnet well, but with a lot of patience and care they will prize out, and when one part comes out the rest will follow...or should. Good luck!Yes they are a bit of a sod, and probably end in injury!

I've always just punched them out (make sure you catch them on the way out!). Wrap a towel around your hand. They come straight out with no messing.

The grill did fly about four foot across the garage
