How difficult are the two belts to change? Looking at mine today and both are on their limits...
Any stickies on this?

Auxillary drive belt change.
Who says size doesn't matter? After a straight 6 3.0 litre....Its hard to go back .
Re: Auxillary drive belt change.
Easy, but you need a thin spanner ( 36mm i think )& brace ( to stop it turning ) to remove the viscous fan.

This article from the Z3 knowledge base for a 2.8 litre may be of interest to you. On RealOEM the fan, thermostat and water pump seem to be common across both engines

Whilst you are replacing the belts it may be worth considering replacement of thermostat and water pump. Also the fan delete mod is an easy job and removes the viscous coupled fan problems that can occur.
Remember that the fan coupling is a left handed thread. Many people "shock" it off (sharp tap of the spanner with a hammer) rather than using the brace mentioned in the article.

32mm open-ended spanner to undo the LH threaded viscous-coupling nut.
