Z3 and adjustable steering columns.

Post by ARoosterinaRoadster »

Hi to you all out there. Did the Z3 in any variant ever come with an optional adjustable steering column ?
Happiness is a well kept Z3 and preferably running with the hood down - weather permitting.

Hi sfiac. Just checking - I certainly are not aware of them ever being fitted - never mind an option at huge expense. I honestly believe that it was the only real downfall of the marque.

I trawled the country looking for a suitable 2.8 or 3.0 Z3 before I settled on the one that I bought albeit a 2.0 ltr Auto in Topaz Blue Metallic - I never did see any despite the fact that they were advertised as having both and or reach and rake adjustment.

Everyone of the sellers blamed it on the advert and the E'bay auto-fill but then the AutoTrader sellers just shrugged and looked suitably stupid.
