Spa 6 Hours weekend

Post by Parki »

Had a great weekend in September at the Spa 6 hours event - good weather, lots of older fast cars driven by older fast guys. I was buzzed by porsches on the motorway which seem to have to travel in convoy but did see 1 other Z3 parked in the 'classic' car park along with lots of great cars as the Belgium Vintage/Veteran Federation now accept Z3's. You can even take the to the track the day before for only £150!

An amazing track to drive. Will be going back next year to it and the ring as their proximity makes it a definite double. Still deciding what car as z3 is a bit down on power and top end for the long straights. Last time there I still had my 450 hp evo 5. I may take my work in progress mk1 tt roadster. Wheels and mapping still to do.

Agreed on the ring, we recently went to Nurburg although I didn't take the Z. With the two tracks only 1hr 30mins apart it's got to be worth the double trip. Also probably quite handy if weather is not so good in one location :)
