How much room does the tank/pump take up ?

Not sure if it's the same thing but must at least be a close relative but Car S.O.S. fitted air bag suspension to the Range Rover Vogue recently broadcast. It was to drop the car down for an older person to get in more easily, a bit like the 'kneeling' buses that reach kerb height.

Always happy to try and help with spares :)

It's where the suspension springs are replaced by air bags. Lots of luxury cars have it as standard these days because it gives a nice ride quality and can also be adjusted depending on speed. I had a Range Rover until recently that had air suspension as standard and it allowed you to raise and lower the car manually, but also automatically lowered it at 50mph to provide more stability.
Retro-fit air ride is used by car customisers to allow them to drop the car really low for looks, and then raise it up for driveability.
