Drivers Seat Removal

Post by alb001 »

Hi there
I need to have some repairs done to my driver seat on my 1997 zed and I am concerned about electronics and belt tensioners when I remove the seat. I have read posts about resetting the air bag sensor etc. I know how to do the mechanical removal of the seat it is just the electrical side of it I am not sure off. I store my Zed in a garage so once I remove the seat I need to drive it back in.

Many thanks in advance for any help

Regards

Andy

This will put the airbag light on as you have turned on the ignition with the seat disconnected. You then need a tool to reset it
Don't worry though you can get an airbag reset tool from Ebay

just over a tenner. I have one of these and I don't worry anymore as I can reset as often as I need.
You have to have the one with the round pin adaptor lead though and it resets from the socket under the bonnet.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..
