Badge Bar fitted

Post by colb »

Unearthed my old badge bar I had on my Morgan and fitted it to the Z.
Cut out a couple of slots in the number plate surround and with a bit of fettling bolted it to the surround, had to drill a couple of holes in the bumper plastic to let the nuts sit in it so the surround sat flush to the bumper. Need a Z Badge now.

Are badge bars even legal these days ?

Nothing in the Construction and Use Regulations pertaining to Badge Bars, don't confuse them with Bull Bars that were fitted to 4x4's and considered a danger to pedestrians. You will draw attention to yourself if you fit mascots to the bonnet which could cause injury to a person in a collision. Badge Bars in common use on such makes as Morgan, in fact you can order one with your new car as an extra if you can afford the car and the badge bar, badges come extra!!
