Just out of interest as i've never sat in another zed, how hard are the seats supposed to be?
Ours has the black standard leather electric seats with the blue piping and they are rock hard. Are they typical or can they be made softer/spongier/comfier?
Hard seats
Re: Hard seats
I'm new to z3's and find the seat in my 2001 model to be quite firm. Theres not much give in the seat cushion though it is comfortable. I thought for a 16yr old car the seat was in good condition and still felt quite supportive.

Re: Hard seats
It did toy with the idea of getting some M seats but I wondered if they were any more comfortable

Re: Hard seats
The leather sports seats in my 3.0 are great, l've never thought of them as hard. But they are certainly not armchairs!
Re: Hard seats
The Sport seats are definitely firmer than a non-Sport seat. I like a hard, tight seat. The ones in my 330 Gran Turismo are perfect.
2001 Z3 2.2 Topaz Blue (Trudy) - Keeper rebuilt from a write-off
2002 Z3 2.2 Titan Silver (Cookies) - Keeper rebuilt having been bought with a seized engine
2002 Z3 3.0 Sapphire Black (Peanut) - Keeper awaiting rebuilding having been bought as an abandoned project
Plus Willy, Kodak & Maycee - All 2.2 Sport projects. Yes, 6 is a lot of Z3s
Always happy to try and help with spares

Re: Hard seats
Ha ha I realise comfy and sporty seats don't usually go together. I'll have to sit in some others to see.
