Are Z3's getting rare?

Post by Zedbedee » Sun 02 Jul, 2017 15:48

Are Z3's getting rare already? Just returned from a week in Cornwall (not in the Z3) and I didn't see any Z3's at all, a couple of Z4's and that was it. When you look at the prices of complete cars and the prices of used spares it's a wonder that any cars get sold and are not all broken for parts.

I saw two today on a journey of 80 miles.

Some conflicting data on that site but it looks like there are about 2000 2,0 litre Z£'s left. Not a massive number.

None does a huge mileage either, so unlike the proverbial repmobile, they aren't to be seen at every turning. Mine lies unused for days at a time, and even weeks in winter. I dare not begin to work out the cost per mile! :bawl:

I can go weeks without seeing any. But then there are 3 in my estate (all black). Mine is the only 3.0i though. There are probably fewer of them in Scotland where I am.

FYI - in Israel 50-75 (with only one coupe).
Most are quite weathered with about 10 owners each. Youngins who hold for a year until they have their first .....and the wife gives 'em a hard time.
