Poll for fun: Do you have a Strut Brace on your Zed

Post by DavidM »

Let's see what people have got fitted (if indeed they do have them fitted) in the form of a strut brace to their Zed - to break it apart and make it a little more informative for those seeking brace information, in addition to voting in the poll, add as a message below this one, what Roadster or Coupe you have and what Strut Brace (or Braces Khush  ) you have fitted - if you want to add a little more information about the brace then do so

About to purchase 2nd hand (cheers Ian S :) ) and fit Strong Strut tower and butt.

As for a body brace - that's something to be used in the bedroom :?

... and the butt brace providea a sparkling light display for those following in the Lakes :-)

I'll never forget Allen getting out just after we stopped and taking out a spanner to tighten up the rear brace :-)

Hi

These strut braces...Exactly how easy are they to fit, are we simply talking about taking a spanner out to the car and bolting it on, or do you have to cut about anywhere. ?..The one at E-Tech has my eye at GBP 125 !

Strutts Fitted

Post by Runroadster »

Strong Strutts front, butt and body brace fitted . I wouldn't be without them each one makes a big difference. Tends to scrape on speed humps and uneven roads which is why I'll be fitting Bilstein shocks when I can.
The beautiful thing about learning, is no one can take it away from you. Tony & Reet.

Strong Strut in black, 30 mins to fit, including 25 mins fiddling with the plasticine and worrying about dinging the hood.

Was thinking about getting one for my M Roadster. Are they that good / worthwhile, and how much money fitted any ideas?

Cheers John

Just wondering, what shocks do you have now?

I've the ACS sports pack and yes it is a little low but not enough of a problem to warrant changing. (there is scope for raising the butt strutt a little when I get around to it)

It is enough of a problem to prevent me going for a body brace as Lorraine mentioned above though.

Strut Brace

Post by Guest »

Yes - Hamann strut brace - the rsukts are not as drmatic as some would have you believe, but it certainly does improve turn-in etc. Maybe front tyre wear will also be reduced on the inner shoulders. We wil see.

A Butt Strut will be fitted before the summer.
