67 in August (or shouldn't I post, since I have M Coupé, not a Roadster… of course that never stopped me posting in the past)summerhillie wrote:Looks like I win this contest. The story of my life!

Er, I think I will be 67 before you, unless I am more senile than I think I am already?summerhillie wrote:Sorry - 67 in September! Now where do I pick up that new Zed
as the winner?
Anyway, as has been said elsewhere, you are as young as (whoever) you feel

Now I just made a tactical error…
Since I was concerned that maybe I was mistaken about out how old I am , I showed this thread to Mrs Martlet, first one she has read.
Although pretty much uninterested in cars in general, and the Coupé in particular, I was quite surprised when she said, "What's all this stuff you've added, Front Strut and Tyres and Rear Strut" (which she noticed from my sig).
You may have guessed that I had "forgotten" to tell her about the Struts, and how much they cost
Fortunately, I was able to remind her that her car had recently had new tyres, and the subject was dropped.
This reminds me, I should add to my sig that I have added a TomTom GO (now known as the 'Classic'), with which I am well pleased. She knows about this already, so no potential ear-ache there then

Use the Search button before posting newbie questions about hard tops and fitting kits, footwell speaker amps, water in the boot, hood maintainance and those horrific angel eyes. We get like 10 threads a week on the same subject, it's obvious that you haven't searched.
54-just! But then, I do now have the next best thing to my dream machine ( big Healey 3000!), and that just happens to be the Z4 3.0i se-new @ end of Sept. 05. Worth the wait and the hard work?....Oh yes! And its taken years off me! Nice to be with all you zedders tho' even if the 4's are conspicuous by their absences?...Be good out there and drive safe now...

I'm 23 no no claims and got insurance fully comp for £1100. Not bad for an 3.2 ltr M Roadster! I got my insurance from Admiral, which was by far the cheapest. I work offshore and spend most of my time out of the country, hence limiting my millage to 5000 per year - that might have had something to do with my low quote. Oh obviously did the old trick of putting my mum and dad on the insurance which reduced it by £250!

Im 25 had the Z3 since last summer. Latest insurance renewal qoute is at £390!! pretty cheap for a youngish driver with a 2.0 Roadster.
Unfortunately im paying for the car with finance. Im just wondering what everyone works as to manage to save up to buy a Z3??? must have taken a good few years and some shrewd investments??
