Hi all,
Only had my Z3 since tuesday and im sure as some of you will have read my other post im over the moon with it (i will reply in that post soon btw)
Anyway this weekend ill be cleaning my Z for the first time (YEY IM EXITED.. Sad i know.. lol )
Are these ok to put through the car wash, i had a MGF before the Z and they were really really bad for leeky windows, but the Z build quality is amazing compared to the MGF...
So anyone tried them with a car wash?
Thanks in advance for your replys, Much appreciated

I don't think you'd get a good clean from a carwash anyway, with the curves of the Z!
I've never liked car washes, especially after the one at our local supermarket got stuck under the spare wheel of my dads old frontera and tried lifting the car a few times!
The only carwash I'd rate is one thats fairly local to us where the car is pulled through the machine, you get a load of guys who clean the wheels etc first before you go through
But I'd never take the Z

What about a bucket and a sponge? There really isn't much paint. Then you can get to know the dinks and chips, and then wax after. Save precious water by not using a hose and rinsing with three buckets. Look out for posts on meguirs and BMW roof cleaner, roof protector, waxes, wheel waxes, rear screen polish (I use meths, sometimes one the car;-)).
Use the Search button before posting newbie questions about hard tops and fitting kits, footwell speaker amps, water in the boot, hood maintainance and those horrific angel eyes. We get like 10 threads a week on the same subject, it's obvious that you haven't searched.

My Zed is sponge bath only. Gives you a chance to get up close and personal with your Zed.

I would never put any car of mine through a car wash because of the scratches they cause. Mine have to be hand washed.
