Went on my 1st longish trip in the M today to Thorpe Park.

I Filled the tank to the brim with optimax and cover'd 165 miles of mainly motorway driving. I have exactly half a tank left.
Was quite impressed considering a 30 min stop start stint by the dartford tunnel and cruising around 70-80 ish the rest of the way.

What do you think i averaged. ?

Difficult to guess without doing another fuel brim (or do you know the answer!!!? :) )

I worked out that mine does 32mpg@70mph, around 36mpg@60ish. Averaged 28mpg at 80 or so on the way to the Ring.

I get between 220 and 260 per tank depending on driving conditions.

Town driving/short journeys I'm lucky to see 180 MPT

I am not far out with Si.

The most I have had is 27mpg with my cruise control on and travelling around 60ish ( not much fun  )

The least I have had is 22 and that is about town driving and blasting! :D

My 2.2 is not much better around town, probably around 25mpg.

I do find the second half of the tank seems to disappear quicker than the first

Worked it out to be around 30 mpg.

Not sure if yours is an S54 or S50 as it seems the S50 is slightly better in terms of MPG for whatever reason.

I'm reading 23.9 at the moment but that is all short, stop start driving in town with the odd blast on the loud pedal :D

Best I've had was just over 30 on the motorway using cruise control most of the time.

Know what you mean about the fuel gauge P. Thought it was a problem with the previous Zed but this one is exactly the same. Think you are doing really well then all of a sudden the low fuel warning light is on :head:

Before mods I used to get 220 to a tank on a gentle long distance drive and 200 max around town.
Now however I got 90 out of a tank at the last ragging session in Wales!!! Cannot get more than 170 to the tank.....probably not the most economical of vehicles
Going to have to fill my boot with jerry cans to get to the Ring in September, it'll be fun though.

You'll probably find it cheaper there. Fill up the cans for on the way home

My car regularly returns 200 miles to every tank of V-power whcih is in the reigon of £50.

Pretty darn good considering the size of the engine IMO.

Nope! it's probably about the same but some places were more expensive with the exchange rate being so low. I was paying 1.72 euro/litre (about £1.40) but this was for 100ron stuff. About EURO1.55 for super.

30 mpg by sticking to speed legal limits, but my Ford Faimont "the big boy" does 28 with the same limits :D

My beauuuutiful 1.9 has just done 308 miles around town plus a couple of runs, on a full tank from fuel light on to light on. I haven't got a computer on board so can anyone do the maths for me please. :dunce:

Oops, Sorry, just realized I've muscled in on the Ms

Tank size is 51 litres which is approx 11.22 gallons.
Assuming you still have a gallon of fuel left based on the 308 miles you have clocked up you are getting just over 30mpg :)
