Post by Katie_K »

Hey Guys

I tried having a search for this but couldn't find anything

Im currently have my eye on a set of e46 M3 fitment alloys, will these fit straight on mine or will it require some work ?

Thanks :D

Rear offsets are different and need spacers.

Fitted to an Estoril here http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopi ... els+offset

Unless the offset is different on the Z3M (which I'm pretty certain it's not), all E36 M, E46 M and Z4 M wheels have the same offsets.
Looking at www.realoem.com, I'm certain the Z3M has the same offset.

i think you are thinking stud pattern mate, offset is hugely different. you would never get a rear e46 m3 wheel on a e36. it would pysically fit on but you could not drive the car cos the wheel will be sticking out of the arch by a fair way

The offsets are different. E46 M3:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do ... g=36&fg=15

Rears are ET26 (on a 9" wheel)

Z3M:

Rears are ET8 (9" wheel)

So you'll need something like a 15mm or 20mm spacer.

Yea Z3M is unique on the rear offset, the "lowest" of any BMW I know of. E46 M3 wheels I woudl argue don't suit the Z3M very well but it's obviously personal preference.

But without a decent spacer (at least 15mm) on the rear they won't look that great (too sunk in).

I didn't realise the Z3M had such a low offset. Apologies.
