I'm the same  At the weekend just touched the curb and have a small (half the length of a 5p) scuff on otherwise perfect wheel.

I've read that the colour of the alloys is Chromeline but cannot find that colour on the web. Have read that we're unlikely to find it.

Therefore will be popping into Halfords at the weekend to get their alloy wheel repair kit (which has been recommended) and nearest paint match.

Anyone matched the paint of the S50 alloy wheel in Halfords?

I've looked at getting my spare set painted in the later (S54) silver. Talking to several companies its known as "shadow chrome"

I don't think you will get a great match from Halfords. Most aftermarked alloy touch ups are designed to match with the more standard silver alloys usually found on BMW's (as per the S50) ie with the silver fleck in.

I guess it depends on how much you have to touch up how noticable it will be

I have used wurth silver paint for my E53 X5 following reccomendation from another baord and match is spot on.

BMW alloy touch up sticks 51.91.0.413.305 silver met for standard rims up to E46 (2006)

51.91.0.395.248 decor silver met suitable for BMW /M individual rims in decor silver eg types 135m, 152i,163m,166m,172m,191m,192m,194m.

51.91.0.395.247 chrome shadowline for m rims in chrome shadow met eg type 65m 67m (edit AW8 - Wildly guessing this as S54 cars)

51.91.0.395.246 brilliant line met eg type 32br 38br 69br
