Braided Clutch Hose Pipe - Did it raise your biting point?

Had the braided clutch hose pipe fitted at the weekend. The clutch is much better but have noted it raised the biting point to near the top of the range (before it was at about 2/3).
It's not a bad thing, it's more like my corolla, but it's just different.

Did this happen to others with the upgrade?

Also, approximately where is your biting point? And where is the best point for driving?

I had the hose replaced about 5k miles ago.

The result was an immediate improvement - a much 'cleaner' action, with a definite but smooth bite point, and 'rifle-bolt' gear changes.

It certainly felt different, and the bite point was a little higher, but soon became natural.

A cheap and highly recommended mod.

Does removing or drilling out the clutch restrictor do much the same?

I think it's normal to expect this since the hose may be moving more fluid so the clutch release with less pedal movement.

The other reason is that you will have had to freshly bleed the system which itself may raise the bite point from the floor.
