Hi,

Just got of the phone to the dealer... spoke to James very helpful!

I asked him to look in boot and he said there are 3 spot welds with rust on the top which has put me of slightly to be honest hance the price?

Waiting on a call back from the mechanic to understand more.

Regards,

Saw this yesterday and thought it looks a steal if it's an honest car - I'd really like a hard top for mine  Looks nice from the pictures although the boot appears to be open in a couple?

I honestly wouldn't let popped boot welds put me off if the car was good overall and the floor was still intact.

I've just bought a 1999 M with 45k miles, and it's got one blobbed repair on one of the welds. I factored this into my negotiation and will have the floor inspected and 'belt and braces' repaired if necessary.

I'd much rather have a car with a recent strong repair than one that was ok \ original at time of purchase, only to give way later. I intend giving it 'the beans' at the earliest opportunity!

If it was sold it say sold on PH website and stay on there for an eternity.

If it was too cheap he would simply amend the price.

I bought the car today, My wife viewed it on my behalf, loads of phone calls but managed to purchase.

She has taken some pictures I will see them when I get home tonight. Will try and upload some.

They have looked at the boot welds from underneath and I am told it is not a problem.

I have worked on the case that the car is cheap to start with.

Regards

Jonathan.

Well done Jonathon :D

I'm pleased you got there first.

There was allways going to be lots of interest at that price.

Lets see the pics 8-)

This is one of the pictures my wife took. The car needs a bit of a clean. So once I have polished it I will add some proper photos.

Thanks all for your comments
