Yep... you need help!!! It sounds as if you're about to take on a problem that can be solved in a much easier and cheaper way - i.e. to import a car that was born as a MZ3!!

You forgot BRAKES on your list among others - although many tune their car without paying attention to this minor matter :squeeze: - there's nothing like brakes that make you crap your pants :D

Another thing - the MZ3 did NOT come as an automatic!

it might all work, but the first time you floor it,youll be left sitting at the side of the road and your engine will be about 2 miles up the road,i think this project will eat money up,and how would you insure that, just buy a cheap zm,

Don't think you need insurance in Israel. :?:
Did you buy your car from James May. :?:
If so, its already an automatic.

  Z3 roadster 2.8

hi Yaniv,
Its nice to see an israeli flag here!

this swap is doable, but too costly.
If you'd start with a 2.8 platform it's easier, but from 1.9 there are too many differences.

engine, ecu. transmission, different rear are to accomodate the exhaust...

For you guys' the reason we try crazy ideas is because you can't import a car to Israel older than 2 years old, or more than 30 years.
so 2000ish Z3M's are not an option.

And there are only about 4 2.8 Z's to start with.
most are 1.8-1.9, some automatic.

I never saw a Z3M roadster in Israel (the closest was a Z3Mcoupe, highly modified supercharged monster)
