------May need Windows 95  .
---I've been told by the BMW Master Tech at Sytner's Nottm that he thinks that it is the SI board on the inst cluster. It is almost impossible to replace the SI board and the best option is to replace the inst cluster. 17/03/2014: Car collected from Sytner of Sheffield.

Full respray done by Sytner of Sheffield (it may look like Estoril, but it isn't  ) - £1955

Image

Realign all body panels using stainless steel nuts, bolts and washers.

Polish bodywork and wax - £25
Repaint, polish and wax gearknob - £1

Front Roundel - £3 (from eBay). Pins were in the wrong place. You get what you pay for :head: .

Return car to sort 41 problems with paint (only orange peel around the rear of the hard top, some light paint and the mirror glass in the wrong mirrors justified the rejection).

02/06/2014: Car returned from painting now. It has a new bonnet badge. I wonder if they broke the old one. The car's MOT ran out last month and the LHR shock is leaking :head: .

Paintwork is SUPERB. I can only find the following faults...

1. Earth lead to bonnet was not connected (lead reconnected).
2. Door handles had paint inside them (paint removed with Stanley blade).
3. Unadhered paint under bonnet gill (not visible with gill in place).
4. RH door trim not refitted correctly (door trim removed and replaced properly).
5. Some VERY MINOR blemishes in the bodywork underneath the paint.

Ping any chance you could email (or post here) me a picture if your completed tool kit. I'm trying to work out what is missing from mine. Do I bother buying a new jack for £70?

I had this discussion with another forum member recently.....

Did the ///M come with a jack even though there is no spare wheel?

If you need a jack I have one (or 4) less than £70.

Sorry to thread hijack! Your car looks the business, the deeper shade of blue looks great.

Well done @pingu. That is a huge list and I am too scared to add up the cost of all that work. Thanks for sharing the list as I can use it for my list of things to do.
