I picked my Z up from storage last weekend for the Tatton BMW show and decided to run it for the week while the weather was nice.
It has been parked up since Monday with a puncture, the earliest I can get a replacement tyre (I've decided to get a full set) is next Wednesday as there is no supply in the UK of the rear size I need (275/35/18 Falkens)
I could put my other set on but that means a 70 mile round trip and I don't have time this weekend.
So I look at it every day......and leave it sat there with the sun shining

Tim.
Yep, 2 inch screw in rear tyre
The tyres are what came with the wheels pre refurb and I had not expected them to have so much tread on ie they were legal but I feel better putting a full set on.
I could probably get it repaired but its half worn and I feel better knowing its got a brand new set on which should hopefully last me many a year given the mileage I do in it.
I thought about trying the vredestein ultrac sessanta as they have had superb reviews but I've got the falken 452's on my other wheels so thought it sensible to keep the same (so handling is what I know

Sorry to hear you are feeling a bit flat John
On the tyre front I can really recommend the Kumho KU31 Sport. They really are a great tyre and really well priced.
My MR tyres are still like new so they wont need changing but my other car is going to be wearing them when the Michelins run out. If you can get past the name they are a really smart buy and very predictable when pushed
They tend to lose out in the wet a little to the big brands but given i don't nail any car in the wet its not really a consideration

I thought I might give those a try but they are even harder to get hold of in the size I need (apparently they are so popular due to good reviews they are having trouble getting them for family cars currently).
275/35/18 is a less common size and there are very few options in stock in the UK so I might as well wait to get the ones I want at a good price
£525 fitted at my house for x2 235/40/18 and x2 275/35/18 Falken 452's
I've decided to stick with the Falkens so they are the same on all my schnitzer sets (ie same sizes front / rear) so I will notice no difference in handling when I change over.
