Remap?

Post by Snow Mole »

Hi

I have a 98 Z3M Roadster and am looking at improving the power take up. I am planning to fit a Simota induction kit and then looking at remapping.
Can anyone recommend someone in the Sheffield area who can be trusted with my pride and joy?

Many thanks

Richard

Richard,

Its worth a trip down to Evolve. I took mine down there from Liverpool and you get the engine nice and warm on the way down :D

They have a well tested and proven off the shelf remap for the Z3m S50 engines and are very well respected in the BMW world.

You should get a good deal off them including before and after dyno runs as this is now an old remap for them that they developed years ago

Well, took my car down to Evolve this morning - nice run from Sheffield to Luton AND hardly any traffic!

Sat in their waiting area whilst they did the before Dyno run with everything crossed that the engine wasn't going to let go at 7000+ rpm.

Fitted the Simota kit and re ran the Dyno -what a difference, much more free revving and now pulls like a train from low down.

The increase in power - 18 bhp - doesn't sound alot but the difference it makes to the car is amazing.

Great set of guys and they certainly know what the're doing.

I too had our 3.0 remapped by Evolve last year. I too second that they are a great set of guys with excellent knowledge of the BMW range.

I arranged a group booking for a cost of £250 per car, except for the z4s think they were £300
