S50 Inspection 1
5.5 litres x Engine Oil (Mobil 1 SAE 0W-40 - £28.79 for 5 litres [Costco])
1 x Oil Filter Kit (11.42.7.833.769 - £13.96)
Total = £70 approx - with 4.5 litres of oil spare.

S50 Inspection 2
5.5 litres x Oil (Mobil 1 SAE 0W-40 - £28.79 for 5 litres [Costco])

6 x Spark Plugs (NGK PKR7A - <£50 for 6 on eBay)

1 x Air Filter (13.72.1.730.946 - £27.62 [£15 from motor factor])

Items to be replaced periodically
1 x Sealant Cylinder for M-Mobility (every 3 years) (Mobility 1 - 71.10.2.229.882 - £33.80)
8.6 litres of Coolant mix (81.22.9.407.454 for 1.5 litres - £9.15). Mix should be 50/50 with de-ionised water. Total = £40 approx
1 litre of Brake Fliud (DOT 4 - available from a motor factor). Total = £12 approx (£15 for DOT 5.1)

Items to be checked that may need to be replaced during an Inspection 2
? x Valve Shims (11.34.1.401.416 to 11.34.1.401.424 (2.90mm to 2.55mm) - £7.01 ea)

I thought the S50 required Castrol edge 10W-60 oil ?

No, AFAIK it was recommended for the S54.

Castrol website recommends EDGE 10W-40 for the S50, some folks say EDGE 5W-30, others say 0W-30 but the "right" oil for this engine has long been a topic for debate....

Cool had it in my head it was 10w-60 for some reason.

If someone PMs me a chassis number for an S54 I can do the same for that. Similarly, any other variants.

EuroCarParts do DOT 5.1 fluid really cheap @ £2.89/500ml.
