so..........i took the M for the boot wields to be done.
when i showed him (like me) he said that it looks like only 2 had popped....but he said the main culprits are underneath the sealer.
i left him with it and went back a few hours later and he'd found 10!....yes 10! that had cracked
so hes removed the old ones and replaced them and seam wielded everything else .....jobs a goodun
this cost me 130 quid.....and now i know its right...money well spent if you ask me
the guys in Congleton

Did he respray the boot floor after welding to match existing colour
Or was this something you had to do

Hi
Out of interest how long will he need the car for to carry out the work? Do you have to reseal the underside of the boot floor yourself or does he do this?
Think I may get mine done as a precaution when I'm on holiday.

Re: spot welds
After owning my Zed for over a year now, this morning I finally got round to checking the spot welds in the boot. I'm pleased to report they all appear to be fine. Obviously I can't see the ones under the seam. There's no signs of rust anywhere either so it's a big thumbs up!
Cheers
