Z3M Spacers

Post by drummachine »

Has anyone got any pictures of their Z3Ms with 10/15mm spacers on.

Also a link to anywhere recommended to purchase from.

Thanks

10mm all round can look good, doesn't sound much but just 10mm makes a nice visual difference without being too pokey. But as above you can go bigger spacers on the back but 10mm is a nice change without going to thick.

Hubcentric of course with longer bolts.

But bear in mind (in my experience) they invariable increase vibration even if they are hubcentric. I have only in the past year worked a fix on my car after suffering varying degrees of wobble/vibration using Eibach 10mm hubcentric spacers. With freshly balanced wheels the car is smooth wihout the spacers, but with it had vibration through the wheel (front) and some through the seats at high speeds (rear). What I read somewhere was to try a strip of tape on the hub spigot so the spacer is a tighter fit, and then some more on the spigot/lip of the spacer so it's all tighter to the wheel too. I was sceptical but it really worked, the car is as smooth as without the spacers.

12mm pics fitted on my journal somewhere.

TPI are good quality / VFM and they do kits with longer bolts.

You will need to factor in longer locking nuts as well

JJC Race and Rally for spacers and bolts. Got 15mm from them and they come with bolts. Excellent fit and sub 50 quid.
