Oxford Green?

Post by tiggercoco »

Are these two the same colour? (I'm colorblind with red/green/brown!)

Totally love the one in the historical setting but is it the same as the Syntner one?

Sytner one has all black seats by the look of it and the top one has green/black seats plus the Sytner one has headlight washers so at a guess they are not the same car.

I think he wanted to know if they were the same colour, which I believe they are.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

I tried playing once and it was a disaster.

OK so both Oxford Green, I guess the ambient light makes a difference to the hue and I know there was an Oxford Green 2 just to complicate matters.

But that ad! 76K and £22.5K?...wow!

I don't think £22.5k from a main dealer is that bonkers. As long as the car is immaculate - I doubt it is though.

It's not a common colour although unusual colours seem to be popping up for sale currently. On ebay there are red and yellow (2) currently - yes please :)

Just trying to work out what engine they both have. The second car is advertised as 2001 and 325 bhp, indicating that they know it is an S54, making it a rare beast indeed. You can also see it has shadow chrome wheels, whereas the first car looks to be just plain silver. Now it might be that the first car has had its wheels refurbed... Do you have a link to the first ad?

The colours are listed here and Oxford Green seems to have been available throughout for the ///M. Note that there is also a Boston Green. It is also possible to have an Individual car with whatever the customer chose on it.

To my eye, they do at least appear to be the same colour, just in different lighting.

I'm sure I have seen the Sytner one for sale before, but it was far too expensive at 12K. How things change!

the car is such a rare beast in that colour, it must be the one.

I personally like the colour and it's rarity adds something for me.

The S54 version at Sytner would be Oxford Green II, one of three S54's in that colour.

I'm pretty sure it is an S54, as it has DSC. I was under the impression that the S50 cars didn't have this.

I was going by their quoting the BHP as 325 rather than 321.

Definately an S54, DSC, Grey dials, the salesperson must be new or ignorant. It's an old car for a Main Dealership.

Decent Z3s turn up at main dealers surprisingly often. They are perfectly happy to sell old cars as it's a good advert for the longevity.

This one is in my local currently. Stunning by the way but definitely not immaculate/concours.
