Factory Fit Alarm Annoyance

Post by Alex L »

My 98 Z3M, has, what I presume to be a factory fit alarm, with the black keyfob with 1 white and 1 red button. When you unlock the car it makes an incredibly annoying and unneccesary high pitched bleep and two when you lock it.

Is there any way to disable this noise??

Thanks Alex

Hi Alex, check the link below from myself and open the pics, this will show you where to turn off the alarm sounder.

Thanks Gary. I don't have that key unfortunately, another thing which the previous owner must have lost.

I do not want to disable the alarm, just the noise it makes to confirm the alarm is on/off when either locked or unlocked. As I mentioned previously, when you press the red button to lock the car, there is a high pitched double bleep and when pressing the grey to unlock the same bleep but only once. Can this be silenced? or is the only way to silence the entire alarm system.

Just noticed that I emailed you yesterday regarding your M wheels on ebay, unless there are two Garythefish'.

Regards

Hi Alex, the small key won't disable the alarm, only the noise.

Yes they are my wheels on ebay, i've just taken close up pics and will send to your email.
